Hey John ! Have a GREAT 47th birthday. I guess you shouldn't be dating Stevie Nicks anymore, haha ! I can't wait to hear the updated lyrics to 40. I remembered when you debuted that song at Martells Tiki Bar, I can't believe that was 7 years ago. Have a good one ! Tricia :-) |

I got this pic when I met JE at Havana last year.
It was a sure hilite. I am orginally from Louisiana and now living in Jersey. I've been a JE fan for years.
I remember before the show that night, I sent an email
to JE from the website and asked if he'd do a pic with me to send back to my
friends in Louisiana. No more than 15 minutes later, I got a reply from JE
saying, "Yo, Faithful! Find me before the show."
When I got to Havana, JE was hangin at the merchandise
table. I walked up and said, "Hey, man. I got your email."
JE said, "Steve? Sure! Glad you made it." I thought that was really cool.
JE is a great great artist and an even better man.
See you at Havana this weekend |

Well John, you are one year older, and from the new songs getting bolder. We’ve been coming to see you I feel like forever, and somehow it still gets better. I hope for your birthday you have a really great time, We are all waiting to hear your next rhyme. Through all the years we’ve known you, we’ve had a lot of fun, and because I really suck at this, I think this rhyme is done. HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT BITHDAY AND SEE YOU AT THE SHOWS!!! LOVE, CLAIRE AND JIM |

![]() My sis and I are big fans, and that's a picture of us at Marymoor Park summer 2004. John signed my cast at that concert. (I had bunion surgery.) My friend put that picture on a mug for me and, and then in June 2005 in Seattle at the Tractor Tavern, he signed it for me. I am a big fan of John's and wish him a very, very happy 47th birthday. Looking very forward to his next visit to Seattle where I can tell him in person. Mae |

Happy Birthday, John! My husband and I have been fans for...oh...about 20 years. We first saw you at the Stone Balloon in Delaware. It was knocked down this month to make way for condos. (Progress, yeah right.) We saw you there several times and got hooked. We traveled to the Empire Club for the final show (before it was torn down). The show went on forever and was a memorable night. I went to visit my parents in Maplewood NJ after that and found out you were doing an acoustic show next to Frank's a Go Go. Even that was great. (I don't know if Frank's is torn down, but it probably is. The place was a dive). Two years ago, we decided to introduce our kids to the Faithful fold. We took them to the Stone Pony for the Naughty and Nice show (Yup, The Pony was almost torn down too). The show was awesome, of course. MAN you must be old if you are outliving all these places. Don't worry, we're old too. But as long as you keep rockin', we'll keep coming...it keeps us young. In fact, we're going to Boston in July to see the Red Sox. We heard you were going to be there the day before our game. So, we changed our travel plans and made sure we would see you there. Thanks! We love you! See you in Boston. Yup, we're faithful and we're still out here. Alison and CR Burris and now Rheannon and Daltrey Burris Newark, DE p.s. Almost forgot...saw you at Poncho and Kahunaville in DE and the Troc and the Tin Angel in PA. DARN, we really are fans, aren't we. Maybe you do us a favor and play "It's a Wonderful Life" in Boston. It's my kids' favorite. Thanks. Have a great birthday. |
Hey John,
Happy Birthday!!! Hard to
believe I've been seeing you
for almost 3 decades, inc. the opening for Stevie Ray Vaughan at the Ripley! Wish you would come to Center City more often, maybe the TLA & the old Rock & Roll show like when the Front St. Runners were around! Sorry if I make you feel as old as I do.....
Kathy Krol
ps - I'm only 1 yr. older...hahaha
Happy Birthday, John! 47 years young. When you are rested up from your big bash, ya gotta come back to Boise, Idaho for a concert! We miss you here! Steve and Carolyn
Hey honeycakes, have a great one!! XO Holly |

John, You're not too many years away from needing to write a new song about being "Over the Hill"...A Sequel to *&^%ing 40! Well, we're right behind you at 45, and not feeling a day over 35, especially while attending one of your rocking shows. You seem to be getting better with age, and still look very nice in those jeans! (Mary's thoughts). Anxiously awaiting your next visit back to Portland, OREGON....you promised you were working on it! Happiest of Everthing to you! Faithful in Portland, Mary & Scott Greiner |
